Am I an Alpha Female?

What is the definition of an alpha female... and am I one? A good buddy of mine called me an Alpha female the other day and I laughed cause I always call him an alpha male. In truth I am attracted to Alpha males and have been as long as I can remember....but are alpha males attracted to alpha females and is that a part of my issue with finding a suitable partner?
